CUE THE ARTIST! This week we learned all about Andy Warhol and how artists used printmaking to make repeat images. We looked at examples of Warhol’s work and noticed the colors and how the prints were arranged. Students were then given a red, blue, yellow, and white piece of paper, and red, blue, yellow and black paints (trying to make these primary colors stick!)
Students used styrofoam plates and sharp pencils to etch their design, and then used their paints to make and arrange prints. Super easy and fun project courtesy of the HCDE Cue the Artist program!
